MICROCOSMIC-----MACROCOSMIC
TODAY WE WELCOME THE INTERNATIONAL INTERPLANETARY COMMISSION OF RECYCLING AND RUBBISH. WE WILL BE DISCUSSING THE ISSUE OF SPACE JUNK. WE HAVE NOTED THE EFFORTS ON EARTH OF CERTAIN CONCERNED CITIZEN GROUPS, WHO VOLUNTARILY CLEAN LITTER CLUTTERED EXPANSES OF ROADWAYS. THESE EFFORTS ARE TO BE COMMENDED AS THEY ARE DONE SOLELY FOR THE MAINTANENCE AND PRESERVATION OF THOSE AREAS WHICH THEY LIVE AND WORK IN. MY DEAR DEPARTED MOTHER PATIENTLY CLEANED MY ROOM UNTIL I WAS A TEENAGER. THEN WITH LITTLE FANFARE, SHE TOLD ME FIRMLY. ''YOU MADE THE MESS AND YOU'LL HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP FROM HERE ON OUT''. I DIDN'T TELL HER THAT I WAS JUST GOING TO MONITOR IT, INSTEAD OF CLEAN IT, AS SHE WOULD HAVE THROWN A SCREAMING FIT. IF I CRASH MY CAR INTO SOMEONE ELSE, I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR AND RESTORATION NOT ONLY OF MY CAR BUT THE OTHER PERSONS CAR AS WELL. THIS IS FAIR AND RIGHT. I WAS TAUGHT IN HIGH SCHOOL THAT THE FREEDOM TO SWING MY FIST ENDS WHERE YOUR NOSE BEGINS........I WONDER IF THAT APPLIES TO SATTELITES AND SPACE JUNK IN SPACE? IS IT POSSIBLE THAT WE MAY USE THE OLD TECHNOLOGY FROM RONALD REAGANS ''STAR WARS'' SATELLITES TO CLEAN THE PLANETARY ROADWAY OF SPACEJUNK? IN AN EFFORT TO GIVE SCIENTISTS A PLAUSIBLE CONNOTATION TO USE IN THE SPIN CYCLE, I OFFER THIS. ''STIRLINGS AXIOM'' SIMPLY PUT IT STATES ''YOU MADE THE MESS AND YOU'LL HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP FROM HERE ON OUT'' END OF DISCUSSION .THANK YOU ALL FOR ATTENDING. MEETING ADJOURNED. NOW MAKE MY MOTHER PROUD.
