Religious Dogman

Growing up as I did in the pre-dominating religion of the land in which I was grown. I was told it was necessary to adhere to the religious dogman. I supposed that when I had reached sufficient age that I would meet this mysterious being and he would explain all those things which I could not fathom in depth. I had never seen pictures of him, but supposed that he was man from the waste up, and dog from the waste down. Now I perceive that he was just a waste from the top dog down.

THE EASIEST ANSWER IS USUALLY THE BEST

My mechanic friend is really smart. A guy had his car towed in and told him that he thought the motor was blown up. It had run fine and then stopped and he couldn't get it started again. The customer was asking how much it would cost for a new motor, and a new battery as he had ruined the one in it trying to get it started. My friend said'' I don't know, leave it and let me look at it''. The customer left worried and upset. After the battery was charged my mechanic friend turned on the key to turn it over, and check for engine noise. Very astutely he looked at the gas gauge. Empty. So putting a few gallons in the truck and priming it, it started and ran just fine. Truth in the adage'' FIRST THINGS FIRST''.

IMPLIED CONSENT TO REACH BEYOND OUR GRASP

The abilities of the human species to observe and detect both strength and weakness is unparalleled in the realm of predators. We cannot outfly, physically overpower, or outswim most of that which we eat, yet we harvest all things. We were designed to outreach our grasp, to struggle within our own minds, and to curtail our own selves when the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. What do you bring to my table she asks? Only myself I answer for that is all I have to give. There can be a feast if I share with you my giving heart. So that night we went hungry feasting only on joy and love. And we were filled.

my first employee

I was in 7th grade and I realized that I could sweat less and make the same money, if I toured the neighborhoods trying to sell lawnmowing. I offered the job of cutting the lawns to a fifth grader who I knew was from a poor family. I offered to him to use my dad's gas powered lawn mower and to buy the gas. I made the sales and he mowed the first lawn only to the halfway point. Then he went home, leaving the mower right where it was in the middle of the customers lawn. I finished that lawn and the others that day. It was a hot july day and I tasted the salty sweat running down my face. I kept the money, all of it. I had earned it and I had learned that I had the responsibilities of ''THE BOSS''. Many people have come and gone since then. I have sometimes been a good boss and sometimes been a bad boss. I have learned that the worst boss is the detail oriented control freak, and the best boss is the one who will inspire individual creativity and self worth, freely giving knowledge and confidence and praise earned. I am the boss and I pay for you to learn on my time. If I let an employee struggle with a problem, it is not for my economic benefit, but for their personal growth. Do I know the answer to the problem? Yes. After a time of struggle, if they don't solve the problem, and they are willing to learn to accept my guidance, I will explain the how's and why's and wherefore's that make it all tick. Tock. You see, I am ''THE BOSS'' and that's the way I do it.
